Enable Open Xbox Game Bar using Game Controller on PC
You can access the Game Bar on your Windows 10 computer by pressing the Win+G shortcut if you have enabled Game Bar. Alternatively, you can also check your Xbox Game Bar settings. Open the Start menu, and select Settings > Gaming and make sure Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Xbox Game Bar are On. A new trick now allows a user to enable ‘Open Xbox Game Bar using Xbox button on Game Controller’ option on Windows 10. Here’s how! When you open the Xbox Game Bar, you see a variety of gaming activities at your fingertips. Select any one, and you will see an overlay. If you are not aware, many of these can be moved, resized, or pinned to your screen.
1] Use Game Bar in Settings
To enable Open Xbox Game Bar using Game Controller on PC, click the ‘Start’ button, choose ‘Settings’ and go to the ‘Gaming’ tile. There, click on the Game bar on the left side, and in the right pane look for the option – Open Xbox Game Bar using this button on a controller. Now, to enable it, simply check the box marked against this option.
2] Registry hack
Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following path address- Right-click in the right pane to create a new DWORD value – UseNexusForGameBarEnabled. Now, double-click the value to add ‘value’ data as required:
Value Data 0 = DisableValue Data 1 = Enable
When done, close the Registry Editor and exit. You have now enabled the Open Xbox Game Bar option using Xbox button on Game Controller option in Windows 11/10.
